TALLERES HERGA
Punching solutions
PUNCHING AREA in HERGA includes:
CNC Punching Machine with dimensional capacity of up to 3000 x 1500 mm and up to 5 mm thick for soft iron and up to 3mm thick for stainless steel.
This CNC machine is controlled by specific applications.
With a 27-punches rotating station & tool-charger, its high versatility allows processing of several materials such as iron, steel, brass, copper, aluminium, metal grid, polycarbonates, bakelite, glass fiber, with different finishing and preshaping features, such as embossing, countersinking, extrusion, etc.
It is a mechanical-type process based in shear stresses. Two tools are involved, one to be positioned below the sheet to be cut, mould, and one to be positioned onto the sheet, punch.
Material compression generates deformation; as long as the punch penetrates, microcracks are generated in contact edges between punch & metal and mould & metal, and cracking advance produces fracture which separates the part from the sheet; both cracks join and the punch keeps pressing until effective separation and expulsion of cut material.
